5 Things Leaders Do After a Network Marketing Training Event to Keep Momentum Going

So I just landed last night back in the UK after visiting Austin Texas for Live the Dream 7 in the luxurious JW Marriott to pick up my leadership award on stage at a network marketing training event. We got recognised with my business partner Phil Faulkner in front of 600 people (jet lag has almost worn off!).network marketing training event

We travelled something crazy like 21 hours each way but it was definitely worth every moment of it. Also our team mate Matthew Richards and close business partner won an award too, in the bottom photo.

This was super inspiring to see too.

While I am super grateful and stoked to collect more of these, it did make me though how many people actually attend a network marketing training event and never pick up a single award. Yet they have everything within them to make it happen.

So here are some tips that helped me and I hope they resonate with you too.

1 – Take massive action while at the event or at the airport, or on the way home – I purchased WiFi on the flight to London as it was a 9 hour flight even though it was night time, I napped then woke up and worked several times. If you can’t get WiFi then sit and go through your notes and start putting pen to paper, mapping out the next 100 days or so will be like for you.

Was I tired? Heck yes, for the last 4 days that I was in Austin I averaged 4-5 hours of sleep a night. However I didn’t listen to my body momentarily, and knew that I could rest later (which I did). Work now and rest when you’re DONE not when you’re tired.

What people tend to do is say, ahh I’ll watch a bit of telly and then do some washing, then play catch with the dog and before they know it a week has gone by since they got back from the event…and the momentum has fallen.

Catch up with your loved ones when you get back, do all the non urgent stuff LATER and take action that day.

2 – Mastermind with other people who went to the network marketing training event and can make you accountable for your actions. Instead of hanging about and watching the Rio Olympics that were on at the time, I was masterminding with my business partners and planning for our next moves. Sometimes you have to make big sacrifices to make a big dream come true. I’m okay with that…are you?

network marketing training event3 – Upload lots of pictures, videos (hopefully you took lots!) and tag people in a few days after the event to keep the momentum going. Facebook has some new algorithm change that says pictures that were uploaded more than 7 days ago won’t show up again in the newsfeed if you tag people, so don’t wait too long to put this into action. Momentum is key – in fact this interview with top earner Chad Ockstadt on momentum and staying consistent will be relevant to you.

You want to create a buzz around the event and get people asking you, hey what went on there? I don’t usually post the name of the company not because I’m not proud of what I’m involved in but instead a team name or the event name if it’s generic to invoke curiosity.

Without this, people will just Google whatever company it is – in all honesty I would rather be talking to these people as they may be interested in taking part of what you’re doing, than have them run off on their own looking to join someone else.

4 – Review and order your notes. Having notes are great but if they are scruffy, rewrite them while it’s fresh in your head. Maybe sit there and think if anything else that was said pops into your head, and if it does then write it down. Also being organised with your notes if you’re handwriting them can be done if you use mini post-it notes to categorise and label your notes for future reference.

Be sure to revisit network marketing training event notes from time to time and keep them safe. You can always use something called Evernote which I have used in the past, this is more for online note taking though.

network marketing training event5 – Put your notes into action. Don’t let them sit on your shelf gathering dust. Notes are uncashed cheques! Apply what you’ve written down in bite sized chunks. Don’t try and do all of it at once especially if you now have notes on 20 different strategies – you will burn yourself out and spread yourself too thin. Instead, just focus on a few key strategies that you are a natural with e.g. if you are a good writer, do blogging. Focus on YOU and your strengths if you want to go out and crush it.

P.S. want to attract more leads and reps to your business entirely online with ZERO rejection, and get paid even if they don’t join your primary business?
