Was 2009 a Busy or Productive Year?

Was 2009 a Busy or Productive Year?

So what did you achieve in 2009? Did you meet your goals, exceed them or fall short of them? We are now approaching the middle of December, now heading to the last two weeks of 2009. So where has all of this time gone? Were you either:

Busy: Getting ready to get ready, attempting to attract/talk to/prospect leads who will not buy from you or join your team, spending a lot of time online but ending up procrastinating, spending hours on tasks that take minutes (without saving time considering outsourcing) and generally getting nothing done at the end of the day.

Busy people are easily distracted and drawn in by outside distractions. When they return to marketing after being distracted, they are off task and are very likely to procrastinate. Busy people often do not plan each day, meaning that they plan to fail.

OR…

Productive: Allocating time slots to produce online (e.g. 15 minutes follow up messaging on Facebook a day), being consistent with the marketing, networking with leads who are likely to buy, quickly eliminating buyers from non-buyers and closing sales quickly from buyers.

Productive people will consider quality and not quantity and will not risk wasting time if they can help it. They will outsource from trusted services and providers, and would save a lot of precious time compared to a small amount of income (they understand that time can never be brought back).

Let me tell you this; if you have been productive then you will get paid. So if you haven’t hit your goals that you hopefully set this year then LET IT GO, but you must change in order to become productive. Change your attitude before it becomes a habit, do not get lead off course by ANYONE and keep your eyes on the prize. Change your mindset to change your income.

  2. Hey Seb! Great question we should all be asking ourselves. I know I am one that is quilty of “getting ready to get ready” and being “busy” but like you say, forget it and move on. I’m excited for the New Year and will be focused on productivity!!!

Great blog, great content. I’m a little behind but getting there….

    To Your Success, Laura

    1. Excellent to hear from you Laura. Yes, I am also one to talk and procrastination was my biggest downfall at the start of my career. And yes Laura – forget what you did yesterday and move on! 🙂
Good luck with your productivity next year! Make it a new year’s resolution and stick to it 🙂

      To your success,
      Seb
